Affleck-Dine baryogenesis and gravitino dark matter

چکیده
Abstract Affleck-Dine baryogenesis in models where the gravitino is both the lightest supersymmetric particle and the dark matter candidate is investigated. For a high enough reheating temperature to produce sufficient gravitinos by thermal processes, the observed baryon asymmetry can be explained by Affleck-Dine baryogenesis as well as thermal leptogenesis. On the other hand, if the reheating temperature is not high enough, most of the gravitinos must be produced by the decay of the next-to-lightest supersymmetric particle (NSP). Particularly, in the case where Q-balls cannot survive the evaporation, the gravitino number density is given by the NSP’s thermal relic density. Interestingly, if Q-balls survive, they can be a source of gravitinos via the NSP decay. Then, we could find a new cosmological interesting region in parameter space because the gravitino number density does not relate to the NSP’s thermal relic density.

Affleck-Dine baryogenesis and the Q-ball dark matter in the gauge-mediated SUSY breaking
We consider the Affleck-Dine baryogenesis comprehensively in the minimal supersymmetric standard model with gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking. Considering the high temperature effects, we see that the Affleck-Dine field is naturally deformed into the form of the Q ball. In the natural scenario where the initial amplitude of the field and the A-terms are both determined by the nonrenormaliza...
متن کاملSupermassive gravitinos, dark matter, leptogenesis and flat direction baryogenesis
In general the gravitino mass and/or the soft supersymmetry breaking masses in the observable sector can be much larger than the TeV scale. Depending on the relation between the masses, new important channels for gravitino production in the early Universe can arise. Gravitinos with a mass above 50 TeV decay before big bang nucleosynthesis, which leads to relaxation of the well known bound on th...
متن کاملNon-thermal Dark Matter from Affleck-Dine Baryogenesis
In this talk we discuss the origin and nature of the dark matter in the Affleck-Dine (AD) baryogenesis. The AD baryogenesis via most of the flat directions predict formations of large Q-balls, and a great number of the lightest supersymmetric particles (LSPs) are produced nonthermally via the late-time decays of these Q-balls. In order to avoid the overclosure of the universe by these nontherma...
متن کاملA Solution to the Coincidence Puzzle of ΩB and ΩDM
We show that a class of Affleck–Dine baryogenesis directly relates the observed mass density of baryons, ΩB, to that of dark matter, ΩDM . In this scenario, the ratio of baryon to dark matter mass density is solely determined by the low energy parameters, except for an O(0.1) effective CP-violating phase. We find that ΩB/ΩDM = O(0.1) with reasonable parameters, which lies surprisingly just in t...
متن کاملThe Baryon-Dark Matter Ratio Via Moduli Decay After Affleck-Dine Baryogenesis
Low-scale supersymmetry breaking in string motivated theories implies the presence of O(100TeV) scale moduli, which generically lead to a significant modification of the history of the universe prior to Big Bang Nucleosynthesis. Such an approach implies a nonthermal origin for dark matter resulting from scalar decay, where the lightest supersymmetric particle can account for the observed dark m...
